ROMANCE DISEMBARKED AT PANAMA

(P.A.) Wellington, July 18. A young woman who had been aboard the Rangitik* which arrived today, left the ship during its enforced hold-up at Panama, and married a U.S. Canal Zone policeman. She was en route to New Zealand to marry a New Zealander, who had paid her fare. Passengers expressed disgust at her action, some feeling it a reflection on everyone on board. The view was expressed that at least her American husband should reimburst the disappointed New Zealander.
