FOUR NEW SEASONWOOL SALES FOR WANGANUI
Wanganui is to have four wool sales when the main 1946-47 clip conies to auction. The auctions in Wanganui will be on November 25, January 14 (1947), February 21 and M.'cch 25. There is to be a sale in Wanganui on September 20 next of crutehings and stock wool. Following is the roster of sales as announced by the New eZaland Wool Commission, arrived at. after consultation with the New Zealr/.d Wool-
buyers’ Association and the New Zea land Woolbrokers’ Association: Crutehings and Stock Wool.
Wellington, September 18; Wanganui, September 20; Auckland September 23: Napier, September 25; Gisborne, September 27; Christchurch, October 2; Timaru, October 4; Dunedin, October 7; Invercargill, October 9. Approximately 100,000 bales of stock wool, including a LTnall proportion of slipe and scoured- will bp offered at the above sales, with new season’s greasy crutehings. Main Season’s Sales. The 1946-47 season sales of the main clip will commence during November, and will continue until May. Following are the elates of sales to be held at. each selling centre: — Auckland.-— November 14, January 10, March 21, May 2. Christchurch— December 5, January 27, February 27, April 11. Dunedin.— December 13, February 5, March 15, April 21. Irtvercargill.— January 21, March 7. April 16. Napier.— November 20, December 19, January 20, February 17, March 31. May 6. Timaru.— December 9, March 3. Wanganui.— November 25, January 14, February 21, March 25. Wellington.— November 30, January 6, February 12, March 17, April 28. The quantities of the new clip of wool to be offered before January, 1947 will be approximately 165,000 bales.
