N.S.W. TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

AUCKLAND ATHLETES TO COMPETE (P.A.) Auckland, Jan. 23. Ron Agate, dual New Zealand sprint champion, and Doug Harris, national quarter mile title and record holder, w.ll in all probability compete at the N.S.W. I rack championships in Sydney on February 16 and 23. The N.S.W. Amateur Athletic Association recently communicated with the New Zealand Council asking whether ihe two men would be available for the trip, and stating that if so formal invitation would be extended through the Amateur Athletic Union of Australia. Both runners are Aucklanders, and it is possible that another Aucklander, a young middle distance runner, J. C. Grierson, may make the trip at his own expense. The Auckland Centre last night decided to offer no objection Io Harris and Agate making Ihe trip and to suggest to the New Zealand Council that Grierson should also be allowed to go.
