KING TAKES SALUTE
VARXDE AT WINDSOR CASTLE. Reed. 6 n.m. Rusby. May 28. The King, wearing a lield-marshaTs uniform, and aeeompanied by <ln* Queen and the two Princesses, to-day took the salute at I lie final parade of tile “Salute the Soldier" week in the grand quadrangle of Windsor Castle. There were more than ,3500 on narade and the units took more than half-an-hottr to nass the saluting base. In addition to contingents from the Royal Navy, the Army and th" R.A.F.. there were detachments ol Americans. Free French. Belgains and Czechoslovakians. Tin. remaindri o< the parade was made up of civil defence workers and renresentatives of other local organisations.—B.O.W.
