REPATRIATED N.Z. AIR PRISONERS
Reed. 6 p.m. London. May 27. Returned prisoners aboard the Gripsholm included a New Zealander. Flight-Lieut. John Grocoll. of Auckland. He joined Ihe R.A.F. as an airgumicr in September. 1939. Grorott was in a Coastal Command bomber which was shot down into the sea in August. 1941. and was picked un bv a U-boa'. He was recently in StMag Luft 3. where the Germans shot 47 officers.
