BULLS TOWN BOARD
CHAIRMAN AND THREE MEMBERS' LOSE THEIR SEATS. A feature of the election at Bulls was the defeat of the chairman of the Town Board (Mr. J. E. Walker) and two members, Messrs. A. McGregor and D. Lundy. Two new board members topped the poll. There is only lone vote between the last of the elected seven, and the highest ot those at present rated as unsuccessful. R. Mackay 158 D. M. O'Connell 139 *F. A. Holland 138 *W. Kearney 125 •C. C. Price 121 F. Ellery ... .... ..... 114 D. E. Westwood 107 (The above were elected.) Unsuccessful candidates were:—*A. McGregor 106, *J. E. Walker 102, C. M. Broughton 100, A. W. Amon 96, A. V. Edwards 96, »D. Lundry 81, G‘. H. Webber 79, W. R. Stevens 67, A. F. Taafe 26. IIALF-HOLIDAY RETAINED. Wednesday was retained as the half-holiday in Bulls, 142 voting for that day as against 117 for Saturday.
