RAETIHI NOTES

ANNUAL MEETING OF ST. MARY’S CHURCH. (0.C.) Raetihi, April 19. The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Mary’s Church, Raetihi, was held on Tuesday evening last, when Rev. J. Stewart presided over a small attendance. The statement of accounts, as presented by the secretary, Mr. L. H. Fagg, showed the finances of the parish to be in a sound position, an outstanding feature of the accounts being a reduction in the vicarage mortgage account of £l5O. This was made possible by the very successful fair which was held last December. Reports were received from the vicar, the people’s warden, the ladies’ guild, the missionary guild, and the Sunday school, and each reported a very succesful year. The election of ofliers resulted as follows: —Vicar’s warden, Mr. L. H. Fagg: people’s warden, Mr. T. F. Ward; vestry, Mesdames Rickards, Donnelly, Baird, A. Wright, and Misses Eastman, Purchas, Giddy, and Messrs. Torlesse and Cantwell.; synodsman, Mr. A. F. Spence.
