RUGBY IN WANGANUI
PRACTICE MATCHES With the 1944 Rugby season scheduled to open in Wanganui on Saturday week, practice matches will be held to-morrow. Kaierau Club. Senior Team (match with Ratana, on Intermediate ground at 3 p.m.).— M. Allen, N. Hunt, M. Church, K. Church, Nimot, K. Henderson, H. Pid-wej-t. J. Ngatoa, B. Korowhiti, R. Rubins, G. Gerrie, W. Ward, J. Larson, D. Bates, F. Wanihi, R. Crombie. Senior B and third grade on the same ground at 2.30 sharp. Pirate Club. Senior and Senior B team are requested to attend on Spriggens Park to-morrow at 2 p.m. The third grade team will assemble at the Technical Hostel ground at 2 p.m. RATANA TEAM. Th e Ratana team will be known for the rest oi' the season as Wangaehu E, as it will be a combined team. A practice match will be played at Wangaehu at 2 p.m. to-morrow, Wangaehu A playing Wangaehu B. The Wangaehu B team will be:—K. Down, T. Aanaru, T. Heremia, J. Maraku, D. Smith, M. Hihiri, T. Matanga (captain), J. Smith, T. Heremia, Wiwi, G. Robertson, M. Allan, T. Etama, T. Nepia, D. Hurunui. Reserves: -H, Anaru and D. Nepia.
