TEST CRICKETER DEAD

London. April 17. The death has occurred of J. T. Hearne, former England and Middlesex cricketer, at the age of 76. J. T. Hearne was a member of a famous English cricketing family. He played for Middlesex from 1889 to 1914, and during the greater part of that period was the mainstay of the team in bowling. He was a member of A. E. Stoddart’s English team which visited Australia in 1897-98, playing in all five tests. Hearne also played for England against. Australia in England in 189 G and 1899.
