RECORD NUMBER OF BALES OFFERED The sixth and final wool appraisal of the Wanganui season was held yesterday, when the total catalogue comprised 6513 hales, states the official report. of the Wanganui Wool Brokers’ Association. The total number of bales for the 1943-44 season in Wanganui was 94,740, which is a record for this centre. The offering at the final appraisal included some nice clips, which were late in reaching the stores. There was a fair percentage of binned wools, also some attractive lots of Romney lambs and Correidale wool. All lots, including bellies and pieces, reaised satisfactory prices. A few seedy parcels were appraised at. a relatively lower level.
