BRIDGE-TO-BRIDGE RACE

TO-DAY’S DISTANCE SWIM HANDICAP FOR BOTH SECTIONS The annual bridge-to-bridge swimming race will be staged in the Wanganui River this afternoon. Entries are good considering that there are only two outside competitors owing to travel restrictions. Of the 21 swimmers eight are women. J. Adair. Wanganui East, will not be a starter in the women’s section. Loud speakers at the finishing point will keep spectators informed of the progress of the race.
