ESTABLISHED IN WANGANUI

CENTRAL EGG DEPOT The formation of a central egg depot in Wanganui, to which all eggs produced within a radius of ten miles will have to be sent, was decided on at a meeting of the Wanganui District Primary Production Council yesterday. The chairman, Mr. W. S. Glenn, said that the producers would get a fixed price and storekeepers would have to draw on the depot for supplies. As soon as the Wanganui depot was under way arrangements would also be made by the council to establish depots in Marton. Taihape, and Waimarino. Voluntary inspectors would be appointed by the council to see that the eggs were sent to the depot.
