ENDING U-BOAT MENACE
CONFIDENT VIEW IN U.S.A. Washington, Sept. 23. The chairman of the Naval Affairs Committee, Mr. Vinson, asserted that . sinkings of ships off the Atlantic coast had almost ceased. He predicted that naval vessels being built in America will furnish sufficient escort patrol: craft to end the U-boat menace altogether.
