Because of the blackout conditions the usual night gathering end-of-year ceremony of the Wanganui Girls’ College will be dis n ensed with this year and in its place there will be an afternoon function on lines similar to a garden party. Reporting this change to the meetin,g of the Board of Governors of the College yesterday, the principal. Miss M. E. Baker, said it was not proposed to give prizes but Io present certificates to those pupils taking leading places in their forms.
