W.W.S.A. MEETING

ROUND TABLE CONFERENCE Representatives of various women's organisations in Wanganui were present at a round table-conference called by the Wanganui Women’s War Service Auxiliary and held yesterday afternoon in the Victoria League Rooms, Broadway Buildings. Mrs. J. G. Denniston (president) presided and welcomed all present. Tne meeting opened with the observance of one minute’s silence. Mrs. Denniston explained the purposes of the W.W.S.A. Scott (Sunshine Club and Women’s Section of the Central Labour Party) Mrs. R N. Wilson (Y.W.C.A./, Mrs.’ C. R* White (Lady Galway Guild), Mrs. Rountree (Castlecliff Townswomen’s Guild), Mrs. Nagel (Presbyterian Womens Missionary Union), Mrs. P. H. Ward (Baptist Women's Missionary Union), Mrs. S. G. Millen (Air Force Relations), Lieutenant Calcott (Salvation Army), Mrs. G. Edwards (WanR?2 u \. Red Cross Society), Mrs. J. J. Many matters of mutual interest and help were brought forward for discussion. The meeting closed with a vote of thinks to Mrs. Denniston for presiding.
