WAITOTARA. Mr. and Mrs. J. Townsend and Misses Rita and Joan Townsend, Wanganui, attended the dance at Waitotara, held in honour of SergeantPilot Townsend and Private E. McConachy. Aircraftman R. Nicholson, his wife, and Mrs. Nicholson sen. (Palmerston North), were recently the guests of Mrs. A. Verry. Miss McDonald, Wellington, has been Miss McConachy’s guest. Mrs. Rodgers and her small daughter have returned to Wanganui after spending a few days with Mrs. W. Hurley. Mr. and Mrs. W. Nicholson. Palmer-' ston North, and their two small children, spent a week-end with Mrs. E. W. Lee. Miss Lorna Thor burn recently spent a few days with her school friends, Misses M. and N. Gilbody, Kai Iwi. Mrs. H. Thomas (Wanganui), and her small children were recently the guests of her mother, Mrs. G. McConachy.
