It was decided j tn try and arrange for same to be given on I tlrn first three Wednesday evenings in June. e Captan «'L I'. Williamson, Croup Signals fii warded a very pleayiog report of the recent camp held for signallers at Kai- , Iwi. Captain Williamson said he was sure , the j.irls had derived much benefit, from the , an 1 especially complimented Mis. The resignation was received with much regret ’ and it was decided to place on record an ap•s prcciation of the services rendered by the IV secretary to the auxiliary. It. was iurther H decidea to endeavour to procure the services g of someone able to give the necessary time to the work and to make enquiries re the loan of a typewriter. Mesdames Denniston. Bain, Nelson, Scott and Shanks were appointed members of a selection committee to deal with recommendations required on the application forms huu1 nutted by applicants for service with the , armed forces. Mi's. Denniston in reporting on the last E.l'.S. meeting staled that the E.l’.S. L oi-ganiscr had expressed satisfaction with the work done bv the W.W.S.A. clerks, transport and cycle sections during the recent emergency trial, in future emergency 2 exercises will be provided for other units particularly Child Welfare. 0 Report* from sections were received as S follows* , Canteen: It was agreed to discontinue 8 canteen training at the Girls’ College until | some finadty had been reached as to what ? extent those already trained in canteen work I were likely to be used. I clerical: Miss Hallam reported clerical asI sis'.ance being given to the E.P.S., Fire I Boara ana with the compilation of Food ConI trol Roll. Gardening and Land Work: Mrs. Latham reported a steady supp.y of vegetables and mure soldiers’ wives being supplied weekly. Good reports had been received of girls placed in positions on the land. Camouflage Nets: Mrs. Shanks reported 11'4 nets had been dispatched to date, further supplies of twine are awaited. Demon- _ i st'ations are being given to various subur--1 ban organisations. „ Transport: Mrs. Mac Lean reported 37 , trainees had sat for the recent mechanics - I examination.
