DOUBLE U.S.A. ON A POPULATION BASIS
(Recd. 8.40 p.m.) New York, Sept. 18. The Herald-Tribune says that semiofficial figures from Ottawa show that Canada is spending 3,000,000,000 dollars on war purposes in the fiscal year 1941-42.
