RUGBY PLAYERS OVERSEAS

ROLLS OF HONOUR

According to the rolls of honour being compiled by the five Rugby football clubs in ’ Wanganui- Technical Old Boys. Pirates, Kaierau. Wanganui and Old Boys and Marist—over 240 members, mostly players, are in the armed forces.

Eight have been reported killed in action or died of wounds and sickness, and a number have been reported missing, wounded, or prisoners of war. Sergeant-Pilot J. A. Ward, New Zealand's first V.C. of the war, is in the Technical Old Boys’ Club list. Squadron-Leader A. C. Deere, D.F.C. and bar, was an active member of the Marist Club before joining the R.A.F.
