THE LIBERALS APPROVE RUSSIAN PEOPLE PRAISED (Recd. 6.30 p.m.) Rugby, July 19. At the final session of the Liberal Party conference the president, Lord Meston. moved an emergency resolution on behalf of the executive: “This assembly welcomes the liance with, and the Prime Minister’s undertaxing of the closest possible collaboration with Russia in active prosecution of the war, and congratulates the Russian people on their magnificent struggle.” The motion was agreed to amid cheers.—8.0.W.
