HEADLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

WARNING TO MOTORISTS Wanganui City Council traffic inspectors were on duty in Victoria Avenue at the week-end to see whether motorists were observing the headlight, restrictions. The chief inspector, Mr. H. E. Tipper, stated on Saturday that, about half the motorists had their headlights adjusted to meet the requirements of the regula.ions. Ihose who had not were warned to have the work done. Some of the offenders on Friday night were country residents who had no knowledge of what was required of them. Others were residents of Wanganui.

Mr. Tipper stated that further inspections would be made at night and if motorists did not comply with the regulations soon prosecutions . would take place. ■
