STORAGE OF WOOL

MORE ACCOMMODATION FOR WANGANUI An addition to Wright, Stephenson and Company. Limited’s wool storage capacity at the Wanganui stores is planned. Tenders, closing on July 29, have been called for a single-storey building, as an extension to the present stores in Wanganui East, to cover an area of 10,000 square feet. The building will have an 18-foot stud and concrete floors and walls. The roof will be of the single span type, the span being 66 feet. Whether the walls will be of reinforced concrete will depend on whether the Government will release materials.

This is the second recent addition to wool storage capacity in Wanganui, a large block of new stores for the New Zealand Farmers’ Distributing Company. Limited, being under way in Gonville.
