WELCOME BACK TO SERGEANTMAJOR F. DALY A large number of citizens attended at the Waverley railway station on Wednesday evening to welcome home Sergeant-Major (Tim) Daly, who is the first local wounded man to return from the war. Representatives of several organisations were present, including members of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, the Town Board, women's organisations, and the Patriotic Association. Sergeant-Major Daly was welcomed by the Mayor, Mr. J. Johnston, who said that Waverley people were proud to welcome him home after he had “done his bit.” He brought back with him Corporal Westfield, who is also recuperating, GOLF NOTES The following is the golf draw for the Wicks Cup, to be played to-mor-row (Tuesday) by the Waverley Ladies’ Golf Club:—Mrs. Parsons v. Mrs. Hunt, Mrs. Walkinton v. Mrs. Dickie, Mrs. Grey v. Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Handley v. Mrs. How, Miss Mathieson v. Mrs. Bates, Mrs. Dallison v. Mrs. Train. Mrs. D?Lupton v.
