Net profit of Associated Motorists Petro: Company, Limited, for the year ended March 31, was 20.017, equal to 1882 per cent, of turnover. In the previous year a surplus of £63,530 was shown, he amount included total stocks reserve, after provision for income tax. and the surplus was thus in excess cf the trading profit which was not disclosed. The directors propose a dividend of 10 per cent, on both preference and ordinary shares less security taxes. This will absorb £14,4g5, leaving £1572 to be added to the floating balance, which will be increased to £10,179. In 1940 no cash dividend was paid on ordinary shares. £50,000 representing accumulated profits aavilable for dividend being distributed among ordinary shareholders in payment in ful) of 50,000 ordinary shares of £1 each. Present capital is 75,000 ordinary shares and 129,950 preference shares of £1 each. In 1939 ordinary shareholders received a dividend of 150 per cent. Sales for the past year yielded £1 .'>63.551. compared with the record total of £1.155,h25 in 1940. Taxes and duty absorbed £580,802.
