AMERICAN PROFESSOR’S VISIT. ( I’er Piess Association.J AUCKLAND, Aug. 14. On a visit to Australia and New Zealand to study pasture management and inspect agricultural research stations. Professor J. F. Wilson. Professor of Animal Husbandry, at the University of California, passed through Auckland by the Mariposa. After about six weeks in Australia, he will return to New Zealand and spend three months here. Professor Wilson, who is a specialist in sheep and wool, expects to purchase a number of Romney and Corriedale rams in the Dominion and also a small flock of Merinos from the South Island. The Merinos will be incorporated in the sheep-breeding research programme of the University of California. His longest stay in New Zealand. Professor Wilson said, would be at Massey College. This college, although very young in years, was already widely known in America for its research in pasture management and wool
