NEWS FROM TANGIWAI
FAREWELL EVENING A most enjoyable evening was spent at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. Robinson, at Tangiwai, on Tuesday last, the occasion being a farewell to Mr. Errol Robinson, who hopes to leave for overseas service with the Third Echelon. The evening was spent in playing games, telling amusing stories, and several musical items being also contributed. During the course of the evening Mr. V. P. Nettlefold, in a few well-chosen words, made reference to the sterling qualities of the guest of honour, ano in asking Errol, on behalf of the residents of Tangiwai, to accept a wristlet watch and a silver eversharp pencil, expressed the hopes that he would make a safe return, and wished him the best of luck. Errol was then accorded musical honours, and suitably replied. A particularly dainty supper was served, and a happy evening ended.
