A Y.M.C.A. FIELD SECRETARYSHIP
MR. N. J. PALTRIDGE, WANGANUI GOES INTO CAMP NEXT MONDAY Mr. N. J. Paltridge, of Wanganui, who volunteered for active service in June last, and has been waiting for instructions to proceed to camp, has been offered a position as field secretary with the Y.M.C.A. and has accepted. He is to report for duty on Monday next. Mr. Paltridge, who is coach of the Pirates Rugby Football Club's senior fifteen, has been a member of the Wanganui Rugby Union’s selection committee this season. He played Rugby in Auckland and was coach of the Ponsonby senior team there. When in the Wairarapa he was one of the Star Club’s coaches. He came to Wanganui three years ago.
He has taken an active part in work for the Y.M.C.A. and expects to go overseas in his capacity as field secretary.
