EARLY IN SEPTEMBER

NEXT MILITARY DRAFT FOR TRAINING CAMPS WILL IT BE AN ECHELON? Wanganui volunteers for overseas service who are awaiting instructions to proceed to camp for training expect to leave during the first week in September. No official information was available yesterday, but the men are making preparations as though they are to be called about September 3. It is not known yet whether the new draft will be called the Fourth Echelon, or whether it will be known as a reinforcement. .If it is to be called a reinforcement it may just as likely be called the first as the fourth reinforcement. Part of the New Zealand forces overseas are in Egypt, and part in England. On Saturday there is to be a parade of troops in the Third Echelon through the streets of Wellington.
