HURRICANE STRIKE CHARLESTON
MOVING NORTHWARD WASHINGTON, Aug. 11. The Red Cross announced that a hurricane struck Charleston (South Carolina) at 7 p.m. with full force, the velocity of the wind being 75 to 100 miles an hour. It said that the hurricane was moving northward and was expected to reach Georgetown (South Carolina )at 11 p.m.
