Dancing for children from 6.30 to 9.15 and for adults from 9.30. HARRIER NOTES (By "Stayer.") Saturday's run was held from the residence of Mr. S. Hurley, Bond Street. The runners were entertained by Mrs. S. Hurley and Mrs. Hurley, senr., to afternoon tea. This being tne main attraction of harrier running, the Marton Club is very lucky in hav ing such a line band ot lady supporters and the boys certainly do justice to the line spread put oefore them every Saturday.

Once again an old Marton harrier stripped off for a run with his old club, and although it is about four seasons since he last ran for the Marton Club, Frank Williams put up a run worthy of his old self, and off the same mark beat in J. Horgan and S. Crowther. We all know he had stiff legs on Saturday night. Frank Hill once again scored a double victory, this being two weeks in succession he has won the scratch

race and the sealed handicap also. Frank will probably be running the first lap on Saturday in the FeildingMarton relay and should give his team a substantia! lead.

J. Taylor put up second fastest time and also finished third in the sealed handicap. Jack was not quite as fast as usual but ran a good steady race and should be one ot the mainstays in this Saturday’s race. D. Smith finished third and second in the sealed handicap. Don is getting much faster now and had Taylor worried for the first half of Saturoay’s race. Don has always been a reui hard toiler, especially in inter-club and relay teams and knows when an exceptionally good run is required of him. He win be very much uepended on this Saturday and is sure to rise to tne occasion.

L. Hunt finished fourth, and although he was a bit on the slow side he ran a good steady race and only needs a bit more pace. He will De having his first try-out in a relay race on Saturday. Les would be well advised to run his own race and not take too much notice of the other fellow but to remember it is only a threemile lap and therefore be won't be able to waste too much time.

J. Horgan ran a good race on Saturday and was only zssec. slower than L. hunt. Jack is running belter now and should feature in future road handicap races.

Tne new runner, S. Crowther, was out again and made a much bettei showing. He has so far improved •byleaps and bounds every run and his easy action promises a future for him in distance running. "Stayer” wishes the team the best of luck on Saturday, and hopes to see the cup stay in Marton.
