The caretaker reported that the course proper was in perfect order, and that on the farm lambing had commenced. Sheep and heifers were in good condition. The balance-sheet for the past year, duly audited, showed that after spending £743 on improvements and plant, £377 on labour and maintenance, and writing off £226 for depreciation, and £129 for bad debts, the year’s working had resulted in a net

profit of £328. The withdrawal of the one per cent, totalisator duty had reduced the club’s revenue by nearly £3OO. The balance-sheet was approved, and will be printed and distributed amongst members, and handed to the Press for publication.
