SEIZURE OF URUGUAY
i GERMAN MILITARY PLAN I NAZI LEADER ARRESTED I [By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright] Received Aug. 12, 6.30 p.m. BUENOS AIRES, Aug. 11. The police have arrested Arnulf Fuhrmann, tjie confessed author of the Nazi military plan for the seizure of Uruguay as a German colony. The Uruguayan police seized correspondence showing that Fuhrmann was the international leader of the antiSemitic agitation which was a South American-wide movement, also. The leader plans for armed action whenever and wherever desirable. The document outlining the military plans for seizure of Uruguay found in Fuhrmann’s files, admittedly in his handwriting, was claimed to be merely a joke. The German Minister at Montevideo, in a statement made to Uruguayan newspapers, said Fuhrmann was an Argentine citizen of weak mentality and could not be taken seri- ' ously.
