RAPIDLY NEARER
BRITISH COMMAND OF THE AIR Received Aug. 12, 6.30 p.m. LONDON, Aug. 11. The Minister of Information. -Mr. Duff-Cooper, said: "Just as we retain command of the sea, so we are rapidly assuming command of the air. Every engagement diminishes Hie enemy’s superiority and increases our hope. To-day we have torn 60 Germans from the skies, "It is a remarkable fact that the Germans, who so long prepared for war, should at this critical stage have demonstrated an inferiority in machines and pilots. Our pilots go out day and night seeking battle and invariably find that the enemy flees on sight. "Each hattie brings the day nearer when we will establish unquestionable air superiority.”
