BLINDED SOLDIERS
REUNION AT AUCKLAND. [ Per Press Association, ] AUCKLAND, April 25. Blinded soldiers from all parts of New Zealand and their wives and widows of blinded soldiers met in Auckland on Wednesday for the Centennial reunion of St. Dunstan’s New Ze:«and Blinded Soldiers’ Association, which will conclude to-morrow. A Mayoral reception was extended to the members. A message from the Gov-ernor-General wishing the gathering success was read at the lunheon which followed. A cablegram was also read from Sir lan Fraser, chairman of St. Dunstan’s, stating that New Zealand had set an example to the British Commonwealth in blind welfare and its early and enlightened legislation and progressive outlook.
There was a business meeting of the association on Wednesday afternoon. Members attended the dawn parade to-day and church service in the morning. They spent the afternoon at Lady Mackenzie's residence, at Maurewa and attended a smoke concert, at the Remuera Returner! Soldiers’ Social Club. The general meeting will be held to-morrow
