SHOCK FOR MOTORIST

COLLISION WITH HORSE ANIMAL STRIKES RADIATOR TAUPO. July 17. A Rotorua motorist, Mr. W. McHule, had a startling experience on Friday night while driving a small van on the main highway between Taupo and National Park, when a stray horse jumped from the side of tne road about 3ft. in front of the van. The impact was so severe that the radiator was driven almost back to the windscreen, which was shattered Mr. McHale and a companion escaped injury. The horse was killed and had to be removed by a tractor.
