ALL ABOUT BARGAINS Londontown’s Departmental Store is surprising Wanganui wdth its low prices for the sale period. The announcement that this firm is selling a line of evening frocks for less than half price will create a thrill for shoppers, for it i s rarely that one has tnu chance of securing such bargains. The i frocks arc in twenty different styles [and in all shades. They were orginally 29s 6d and are now marked down to 12s 6d. The coat bargains are very ■ 1 good, too. These arc in 0.5., X.O.S. and X.X.O.S. sizes, tweed and fur trimmed, | that wore priced from 89s Gd to £1 19s | 6d, and now are 49s 6d to £5 19s 6d. Whether you are one of those clevei needlewomen who can "run-up” little frocks, or turn all your clothes over to a dressmaker, the fabric bargains will be equally profitable. For instance, there are cotton tweeds that were priced at Is lid, now selling for 10Id, and English Angora Afgalaine are as low as 2s lid. Tnese were 4s lid. And don’t forget your linen stocks. Fine twill sheets (single) are reduced front 3s lid to 2s 9d, and (double) from 5s lid to 3s lid. Owing to a large purchase of goods from Auckland and the necessity of making room for the new spring goods, a clearance must be made —nence the excellent bargains now available.
