KEETON FOR NOTTS COUNTY CRICKET MATCHES FLAY IN ENGLAND LONDON. July 19. A record individual score for Nottinghamshire was made by W. W. Keeton in the county match against Middlesex at the Oval in the series which was completed yesterday. Keeton carried his bat for 312, lhe previous record for Nottinghamshire being 296 by A. O. Jones against Gloucestershire in 1903. It was in 1903 that Nottinghamshire ran up lhe county's record aggregate of 739 for seven wickets against Leicestershire. The innings against. Middlesex, who are disputing with Yorkshire the lead in this year's championship, was declared closed at 560 for nine wickets, and a tine bowling performance by Voce helped towards Nottinghamshire's victory by an innings and 190 runs. The series of matches was considerably interfered with by rain and several fixtures had to be abandoned without, a result being reached on the first innings. Outright wins were secured by Essex against Surrey ..nd by Kent, against Gloucestershire. Results are: Middlesex v. Nottinghamshire, at the Oval. -Nottinghamshire, 560 for nine, declared (Keeton not out 312, Heane 88). Middlesex 119 (Voce seven for 70) and following on. 25L Nottinghamshire won by an innings and 190 runs. Derbyshire v. Yorkshire, at Chesterfield.- Derbyshire 208 for six. The match was abandoned. Essex v. Surrey, at Colchester.— Surrey 285 (Nicholls five for 79) and 100 <P. Smith seven for 47'. Essex. 361 (Eastman 99, Nichols 93) and 27 for none. Essex won by ten wickets. Hampshire v. Glamorgan, at Southampton.—Glamorgan, 157 (Baring five for 27>. Hampshire. 22 for two. The match was abandoned. Kent v. Gloucestershire, at Maidstone.- Kent. 182 (Fagg 77; Scott five for 86) and 189 (Ames 79; Sinfleld four for 12). Gloucestershire. 170 and 103 (Wright six for 20). Kent won by 98 runs. Somerset v. Lancashire, at Yeovil. Lancashire, 181 for two. The match was abandoned. Sussex v. Northamptonshire, at Hove.—Northamptonshire, 334 (Nelson not out 123) and 110 for five. Sussex. 310 (Bartlett 81; Timms six for 57). Northamptonshire won the first innings. Worcestershire v. Leicestershire, at Worcester.— Leicestershire, 39 for one. The match was abandoned Navy v. Air Force, at Lord's (two days).- Air Force, 302 for eight, declared (Cruickshank 90) and 186 for six (Cruickshank not out 70). Navy, 301 (Stephenson 101). Air Force won on lhe first innings.
