BOUT AT DUNEDIN PARRIS KNOCKS OUT FISHER BEST CONTEST FOR YEARS [ Per Pre»B Aabociatiofi. ; DUNEDIN, May 15. A professional boxing contest held to-night between W. Parris, of Wellington (10.41) and Norman Fisher, of Christchurch (10.li) resulted in a win on a knock-out in the ninth round for Parris. The bout, which was one of the best witnessed in Dunedin for some years, attracted a crowded house, about equally divided in sympathies. Exchanges were fairly even for four rounds but thereafter Parris' body blows took toll and Fisher was tiring when the end came. A preliminary bout resulted in a victory on points for Parr.
