Mrs W. T. Simmons is visiting Wet lington.

Mrs Wickstead is the guest of her mother, Mrs Honeyfield, at “Egmont View.”

Miss Kelly is the guest of Mrs W. Paterson after returning from abroad. Mrs R. W. Haddow hostessed an afternoon party, and bridge in the evening, on Tuesday, the guest of honour being Miss Kelly. Guests iu the afternoon were Mesdames Honeyfield, sent., Taylor, A. H. BrookeTayler, R. M. Stevens, J. G. Petersen, G. J. Broker, W. F. Sheild, Misses A. L. Harris, E. Nichol. The evening’s guests were Mr and Mrs W. Paterson, Mr and Mrs Len Honeyfield, Mrs McRae, Miss G. Taylor, Mrs Wickstead, Miss G. Tompkins, Mr and Mrs T. E. Roberts, Mr and Mrs J. N. Anderson, Dr. W. T. Simmons, Mr and Mrs Doug. Melville (Hawera). Miss Verona Hunger will be home from Wellington for the Easter vaca-

tion. Miss Betty McCarty will motor to Hawke's Bay for Easter. Mr and Mrs Rudolph Hunger have returned from a lengthy holiday spent in the Sounds and Wellington. Mr Allan Hunger is home on holiday from Wellington. Mr and Mrs J. D. Cameron will spend Easter at Hastings. Mrs J. Jackson, Wanganui, will be the guest of her mother, Mrs L. T. Adams, over Easter. Messrs S. Edwards, R. Adams, J. Petersen, T. Cardiff, and N. Gardiner will be Mr J. Jackson’s guests at Wanganui for the Castlecliff golf tournament during Easter. Mr and Mrs L. Austin and family will motor to Auckland for Easter. Misses Johnston leave to-morrow for Rotorua. Mrs N. McKinnon is holidaying in Auckland. Mi* and Mrs Atkins, Nelson, are Mrs E. Reed's guests. Mr E. Gilbert!, of (he Customs Department, has received notice of transfer to Wellington. Mrs G. Harris and Miss Harris will holiday in Palmerston North. Members of the Patea Surf and Life-saving Club organised a successful dance at Kakaramea on Tuesday, the funds being considerably augmented as a result.
