GARRISON BAND
SOCIAL EVENING A jolly evening was spent on Tuesday evening last by members of the Wanganui Garrison Band and their friends, when a social evening was held in the bandroom. The hours pasted all too quickly with games, dancing and items and the evening was voted a great success by all those wno attended. Items were given by Miss Clarke, Mr. Owen Williams an.i the president of the band, Mr. G. H. Pownall. The duties of pianist were ab'y carried out by Mrs. Kendall, wrjlf- Mr. S. Kendall acted as M.C. Among those present were: The patron of the band, His Worship the Mayer, Mr. W. J. Rogers, the president of the band, Mr. G. H. Pownall, Mr. and Mrs. Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Elston, Mr. and Mrs. Kendall, Mr. and Mrs. Unwin, Mr. and Mrs. T. Skelsey, Mr. and Mrs. L. Banks, Mr. and Mrs. O. Francis, Mr. and Mrs. O. Williams, Mesdames C. S. Jeffs* W. Howell, Skelsey (senior), W. R. Scott, H. Bevan, Misses E. Howell, Scott, Harris, M. Skelsey, L. Cuthbertson, M. Purchase, R. Francis, E.
