WANGANUI COUNTY COUNCIL
Sir,—lt is with pleasure that I endorse the recommendation of His Worship the Mayor of Wanganui in support of the appeal of the Wanganui A. and P. Association for new members. There can be no doubt that the A. and P. Association is performing a very useful service for the whole district and it is indeed fortunate that a determined and energetic committee is in control of the association’s affairs. From personal knowledge I can state definitely that the executive committee of the show is engaged in a task which calls for a prodigious amount of energy and real hard work, and in view of the success which in recent years has attended their efforts it will be a great encouragement to them if their present appeal for new members is responded to by residents of town and country. Membership in the A. and P. Association, besides keeping one of the oldest institutions in the district, secures for the individual member concessions at the show which amply repay him for the small fee of fl payable. I extend to the committee of the A. and P. Association my best wishes for % successful outcome of their appeal. —Yours faithfully, A. H. COLLINS, Chairman, Wanganui County Council. Mangamahu, Jan. 25, 1938.
