STRIKES IN PARIS
[ TYRE WORKS NEUTRALISED (transport strike continues. ; SENATE RECEIVES BUDGET. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) Received Dec. 27, 11.17 p.m. PARIS, Dec. 27. The Premier (M. Camille Chautemps) and the Minister of Labour (M. Fevrier) conducted negotiations throughout to-day with the Goodrich Tyre Company strikers. As a result the works were neutralised until January 1, owners and workers not being allowed to enter. The metal, provision and transport .workers’ strikes continue. Army lorries are delivering foodstuffs and newspapers. Despite the fact that it was Sunday, the French Senate passed the first reading of the Budget. M. Abel Gardey, Rapporteur of the Finance • Committee, said that it was estimated [ that the surplus was £520,000.
