CANCER TREATMENT

HELP FOR BACKBLOCK SUFFERERS [Per Fresn Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 27. When the central committee of th# New Zealand branch of the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society met to-day under the chairmanship of Sit James Elliott, it was decided to take further steps to enable necessitous cases in the backblock areas to be brought into touch with the city clinics. Contact is to be made with cases through the medical and hospital channels in each of the New Zealand branch divisions—Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin. Doctors and hospital superintendents throughout these divisions will be communicated with and asked to report on existing cases and their needs, after which steps will be taken to bring patients within reach of the society's centra! facilities for diagnosis and treatment.
