“THINGS TO COME.” It is not often that the public < Wanganui has the opportunity of se ing such a magnificent, production ; that of Alexander Korda, workir with H. G. Wells, in theamazing fil: “Things to Come,” commencing to-df at the Regent Theatre. To the techn cal marvels of the film are added ou standing photography and very fir acting. The opening scenes show city enjoying Christmas Eve. in syii of war rumours, and then, with a te: rible suddenness breaks in the air ra that opens hostilities. Several decad< of barbaric war follow, until final: the world is ruled by ruthle “pocket” dictators, an excellent bu lesque on some well-known moder leaders. Then comes the arrival < monster aeroplanes, a hand of ai: men and scientists bent on recor structing the world. y “space-gun.” The huge cast is headed s by Raymond Massey, Ralph Richard- - son, Margaretta Scott, and Sir Cedric n Hardwicke. A Walt Disney coloured f cartoon “Mickey’s Popo Team,” is in« ■ eluded in the excellent supporting - programme. f ---
