LENGTHY EVIDENCE
MOTOR ACCIDENT CASE ACCUSED SENT FOR TRIAL. [ Per Press Association. ] NEW PLYMOUTH, July 23. The four days’ hearing of evidence on a charge against Samuel Edward Hawke, a farmer, of driving a motor truck negligently, thereby causing death, was concluded to-day. Accused pleaded not guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial, bail being allowed. The truck allegedly involved was retained for the purposes of the trial.
