AlcPhail presiding over a very good attendance of members, including Airs. Scott who was welcomed back after her cruise among the island. At the conclusion of routine business, the programme for Girls’ Education Week was discussed and several of those present offered hospitality to the visiting country girls during their stay in Wanganui, the aim of the Women’s Division being to give to these youg country members the facilities enjoyed by city girls of seeing through our art gallery, the museum, the Alexander Library, the Southern Cross Biscuit Factory, the Woollen Mills and other public buildings and factories. Lectures on art, literature and health will bo included in the week’s programme which will also include divine worship in one of the city churches. Airs. AlcPhail voiced the pleasure Mr. Herbert Taylor had given by acceding to her request, on behalf of the committee, that he should give an address in their rooms, next Wednesday, on “ Waitangi.” 'l’he subject should be one of very wide appeal and it is hoped that the public will show their interest by attending. Delegates for the annual conference to be held in Wellington, early in July, were then appointed ad all adjoured for a warning cup of tea.
