PERSONAL. Mr. K. O'Callaghan is spending a holiday at Rotorua. Mrs. H. W. Waymouth has returned from a visit to Nelson. Mrs. Murray, Shannon, was a visitor to Mangaweka this week. Mr. R. Smith, Kawhatau, left for Wanganui on Thursday. The Rev. and Mrs. Watkins have arrived and a welcome evening was held on Thursday evening. An induction service will be held in St. Martin’s Church on Monday evening at 7.30 ».m. SCHOOL MEETING. Thj usual monthly meeting of the School Committee was held on Tuesday. Present: Messrs. M. Sutherland (chairman), L. Mahoney, L. Bailey, J. Ince, R. H. Lewis and A. Lewis (schoolmaster). Accounts amounting to £5 Ils lid were passed for payment. It was proposed by L. Mahoney that L. Bailey be nominated as a member of the Wanganui Education Board. The school concert was provisionally fixed for the second week iu October. Messrs. L. Bailey and J. Ince were api>ointed the visiting committee for the month.
