I Euchre and Dance. The Upokongaro Football Club has arranged to hold a dunce and euchre evening on Saturday. Novelty dances v.-ill be featured iu the programme and there will bo a home-made supper. At the concluding lecture given by Madame Lauri Alwyn on Alouday, she was assisted by several of her pupils from Palmerston North, who demonstrated some of the effortless exercises that are an important feature ot Aladama Alwynhealth and beauty culture. At least one other popular member and talented performer in the company is also a New Zealander. Miss Katie Towers (Mrs. George Chalmers), who has been a consistent performer with AVilliamson and other companies for over 30 years, was bom at Thames. AVilliamson’s Company strives in this city this week, when Wanganui will have an opportunity of seeing these three New Zealand-born actresses.
