THE WAITOTARA CASE REFORMATIVE DETENTION Other sentences imposed by His Honour were: —• On Gordon Sidney Thomas Balsley, for indecent assault on a girl of 11 rears of age, at Waitotara, reformative detention for a period not exceeding two years. On William Keane, for arson and mischief, reformative detention for a period not exceeding two years on the charge of arson and reformative detention not exceeding one .year on the charge of mischief, such sentences to be concurrent. On William Alfred Christensen, who had pleaded guilty to theft from a dwelling house at Castlecliff, reformative detention for a period not exceeding two years.
