FRIENDLY CONVERSATIONS. ffi Received May 24, 8.15 p.m. " CAIRO, May 23. The Premier, Nahas Pasha, read the -Speech from the Throne at the opening of Parliament, announcing that the Anglo-Egyptian conversations were proceeding with serenity and cordiality and that it was hoped that they would produce an honourable agreement embodying Egyptian independence and the tightening up of the Anglo-Egyptian friendship alliance.
